The New York Hoods were a hardcore band from, you guessed it, New York City. Astoria, Queens to be exact. They began playing in the early 1980s and made their first demo, a tape entitledĀ Netural, in 1986. During this era, they were regulars at CBGB's and produced a few more tape recordings with a regularly rotating lineup. At one point or another, the Hoods featured Jaybird of Krakdown, Bobby of Gilligan's Revenge, Gavin Van Vlack of Burn, Side By Side, and Absolution, and Nicky X of Abombanation and Breakdown. The band broke up in the late 1980s. This original and rare New York Hoods shirt is in great condition.Ā
