Bathory were a metal band from Sweden founded in 1983, which makes them one of the first black metal bands ever. They were founded and fronted by Quorthon who led the band for their entire existence until his tragic death in 2004. During their time together, Bathory released 12 albums. Their earlier material laid the groundwork for the entire genre of black metal, but by the time the 90s rolled around they found themselves moving towards a new sound that would become classified as viking metal. The band was one of the most important and influential bands within metal. This vintage fan made Bathorty shirt, deadstock in excellent condition, is from the early 2000s.
